We are in the conservation area and the house is listed. Is there anything you are not allowed to do?
Yes, and it is mostly about what we do not do. No pressure lance on brick or stone laid in lime mortar, because it strips the pointing and drives water into the wall. Nothing screwed, stuck or clipped to an elevation, so there are no permanent fixings for reach equipment. And where the fabric itself needs work, we clean it, report what we found and leave the repair to somebody with consent.
