The ceiling above our en suite shower goes black again a few weeks after it is cleaned. Why?
Because cleaning takes off the growth and not the reason it is there. In these houses the fan discharges through flexible duct laid across the loft, and if that duct has dropped into a belly or come off the roof vent, warm wet air is going into cold roof space or back down into the bathroom. We will clean the ceiling and the silicone properly, then tell you to have the duct run checked, since it will come back otherwise.
